Domanas Razmus is a drummer, a percussionist and a composer. He began his professional career as a musician at the age of 18, by winning the selection for the Travelling Youth Orchestra, with which he toured in France and the Baltic States. He has played at the country’s largest jazz and contemporary music festivals. Domantas is currently actively working as a freelance musician, and is also a regular musician in the following groups: Leonardas Pilkauskas Septet, Cinamono, Castor Stetson, Honkin’ Dudes brass band, Improdimensija Orchestra, Laivo Troupe, Dima Golovanov trio, Lithuanian JJazz Orchestra, etc.
The performer is a laureate of several festivals and Grand Prix winner – in 2017 he won the first place of the Lithuanian drummers’ competition Tamsta Drumday, and several times won the Grand Prix award at the Vilnius Jazz Young Power improvisational music groups’ competition with the groups R.A.D.D., Castor Stetson, TDT.
Having debuted as a composer in 2023, having released his first solo album „Riddims and Groves Vol. 1”, he is currently actively working on another solo album, in which he performs electronic music with percussion instruments using innovative technologies.
