Kaspars Kurdeko has had a passion for music since he was very young. His interest in music and performing increased followed by classical education in Music academy in Riga,Latvia. He has sought out and followed every opportunity to learn, listen, play and write music. Graduated Masters degree Jazz department in Amsterdam,Netherlands and did studied also in Manhattan school of music with John Riley and Justin DiCoccio. Kaspars drumming style delve into jazz idiom and as well more experimental try- outs and attest to its quest for sounds and forms of improvisation. His drum sound and
playing style is full with sensitive interplay, supportive grooves that suggests strong melodies and yet painting qualities. Kaspars is Performing musician in different musical formations internationally, and as well composer for his own musical formations like quartet “Deko Motion”. In 2010 his quartet won prestigious prize “Keep an Eye Jazz Award” in Netherlands Amsterdam. Kaspars has been invited to teach drums and rhythm classes to Graduate (Masters) and Undergraduate (Bachelor) programmes in Music Academy Jazz department in Riga and still is active performing musician.
