The ensemble “Giunter Percussion” (formerly “Vilniaus percussion”) was founded in 1995 by Pavel Giunter. It is the first percussion ensemble of this type in Lithuania. During the 26 years of its activity, the musicians have gained public recognition and become popular in Lithuania and abroad. The ensemble frequently participates in festivals in Germany, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Latvia, Belarus, Russia and Denmark. Well-known contemporary Lithuanian composers compose works for this ensemble. The ensemble has performed with Sergei Krilov, LKO, Petras Vyšniauskas, Leonid Šinkarenko and Jazz 4, Frederic Macarez (France), Linda Maxey (USA), Michael Udow (USA) and Nebojsa Zivkovic (Germany). All the members of the group are top professionals. The ensemble plays classical, modern, folk, popular and jazz music. Currently the ensemble consists of Sigitas Gailius, Tomas Kulikauskas, Andrius Rekašius, Robertas Vilčinskas and Pavel Giunter.
